Accessibility Statement
Accessibility statement template for websites and mobile applications in accordance with Article 3, paragraph 1-bis of Law no. 4 of January 9, 2004 – June 11, 2025
Pierre Mantoux S.r.l. is committed to making its website accessible, in compliance with Law no. 4 of January 9, 2004. This accessibility statement applies to the website www.pierremantoux.com.
Compliance Status
Partially compliant
This website is partially compliant with the requirements of Appendix A of the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard due to the non-compliances and/or exceptions listed below.Non-accessible Content
The following content is not accessible for the reasons listed:2. Some parts of the website contain text with suboptimal visual contrast.
3. Page headers display titles over background images. A visual effect has been applied to improve contrast between text and image, but legibility may still be suboptimal in certain situations.
4. The search field does not have a visible label but has been configured to be accessible with assistive tools. A technical update has already been requested from the tool provider to further enhance accessibility.
5. Product images in the e-commerce section, including those showing colors, textures, and variants, lack alternative text (alt text). These images are automatically imported from an integrated external management system that does not allow for the inclusion or modification of alternative descriptions. Manual adjustment would be excessively burdensome in both economic and operational terms.
6. Some interface components, particularly navigation tabs generated by the theme and the Elementor page builder, contain ARIA structures that do not fully comply with WAI-ARIA 1.1 specifications, resulting in formal errors such as “Certain ARIA roles must contain particular children.” These components are automatically generated by the system and cannot currently be modified without advanced intervention in the theme’s source code, which would represent a disproportionate burden under Article 5 of Directive (EU) 2016/2102. However, it is specified that these components are keyboard-accessible and readable by major screen readers and do not significantly compromise the overall accessibility of the site.
7. Some visual components, such as image galleries, automatically generate aria-roledescription attributes without a semantic ARIA role associated. This may be flagged as an error by automatic validators but does not hinder content usability with screen readers or assistive technologies. It is currently not possible to intervene in the generated code, but we are monitoring the behavior and will evaluate future updates.
b) Disproportionate burden
It is considered that the changes necessary to address items A1 through A7 would compromise the visual harmony of the site (e.g., by altering contrast colors). These are deemed minor shortcomings already sufficiently mitigated (though not perfectly) to ensure adequate accessibility using the implemented tools.
c) Content not within the scope of applicable legislation
The cookie management section and informational banner are provided by an external service and may present accessibility limitations. As these are not directly customizable, they fall outside the scope of applicable legislation. In case of difficulty, users may contact support for alternative information.
The map on the “Contacts” page is integrated via an external service and cannot be directly modified. As such, the content may not be fully accessible for some users. In this case as well, support can provide alternative guidance.
The captcha included in the contact forms is integrated via an HTML “iframe” element, which lacks the “lang” attribute. This tool is provided by an external service and may have limitations in terms of accessibility. Since it cannot be directly customized, it falls outside the scope of accessibility legislation. If you encounter any difficulties, please contact our support team to receive alternative information.
